槟城美食之珠 

当有人问起吃什么最槟城,答案总是琳琅满目、不一而足,说也说不完、说也说不全,Pan Pacific Orchard 酒店的自助餐厅10 at Claymore近日推出了“槟城美食节”(Pearl of Orient Penang Fiesta)的主题自助餐,就让你一次过足瘾吃尽槟城经典美食。

虽说在槟城的美食精彩之处并非在堂皇的餐厅里觅得,而是在街边顶着烈日大雨的档口里一小碗一小碗地卖出,但“槟城美食节”里的各道佳肴也不比槟城的街边美食逊色,餐厅舒服的环境也更让人能舒心地用餐。

主厨Andy Oh来自槟城,为了准备这次的美食盛宴,所有食材均采购自槟城,以求让大家吃到最地道美味的槟城美食。 在笔者心中,槟城的美食之王当属阿叁叻沙莫属,餐厅别出心裁地使用了金目鲈来替代一般常用的马鲛鱼来制作汤底,马鲛鱼天然带一股较强的腥味,用了金目鲈的阿叁汤底更显清新,酸楚动人,令人食欲大开。

其他包括炒粿条、虾面、椰浆饭、肉骨茶、五香、印度啰惹、蚝煎、娘惹炸鸡等槟城美食都可以在这里一网打尽。值得一提的还有椰浆饭,除了传统sambal,餐厅也提供了特别的虾米sambal,里边的虾米粒酥脆咸香,特别下饭。另外,肉骨茶并非新加坡常见的潮州式胡椒白汤,而是马来西亚福建式的药材黑汤,但其药材味不会特别强烈抢味,更凸显汤的香醇浓厚,让人大啖几碗。

吃完主食,当然少不了甜品,这里提供的主要有娘惹糕点,Bubur ChaCha,Chendol等。其中的Kuih Talam,上面一层白色的椰浆,下面一层香兰糕,香兰叶的香气逼人、滋味醇厚。Bubur ChaCha的椰浆汤水浓厚得宜,里边的芋头和地瓜也煮得软糯,甚为满足人心。Chendol则配了一台刨冰机,让人自己动手刨冰以及添加配料,好吃又好玩。

除了槟城美食,自助餐厅亦搭配有海鲜吧台及现煎牛扒。餐厅提供了来自不同产地的生蚝,分别是美国、加拿大和法国,让人一品各地生蚝的不同风味。
