Samsung Fashion Steps Out @ Orchard 2016

I have never been a fashionista or a super stylish person. But this year I am blessed to be invited to Samsung Fashion Steps Out @ Orchard 2016 by TMRW TMRW, the creative agency (part of the Better Together Team), in charge of bringing the show to live! It was an eye opening event for me as I sat by the runway watching models sashayed down the long Orchard Fashion Runway, from Scotts to Bideford Junctions. The runway stretches approximately 550m with more than 180 models and performers involved.



This is the seventh year of this massive fashion parade in Singapore and it runs from 25 March to 8 May 2016. On 26 March 2016, Fashion Party was held at Paragon Main Atrium where over a dozen of influencers and artistes from Singapore and around the region mingled in the party. Some of the familiar faces includes Singapore’s JJ Lin, Sheila Sim, Haley Woo and Aisyah Aziz; Indonesia’s VJ Daniel, Malaysia’s Min Chen, Philippines’ Laureen Uy and others. Sorry that I did not take any pictures with them as they were being surrounded by too many fans. However, I was happy to catch up with many lovely peeps that I have known through my blogging journey.





Like all parties, it is never complete without any wines or bites. There was an array of alcohol (sponsored by Sweet Touch, Taiwan Beer and J.P Chenet), water (pH Balancer Ocean Alkaline Water) and finger food from Paul. Yummers!

The Samsung, the official sponsor, has also launched its latest Samsung Galaxy S7 4G+ and S7 edge 4G+.


At about 8pm, all the guests proceeded to witness the annual biggest fashion show in Singapore at the iconic Orchard Road. I had my share of vanity by asking J to take a few pictures for me before the show began.


As the group of energetic dancers flouted their talented dance moves along Orchard Road, it marked the start of the fantastic show ahead showcasing 8 different brands (FOX Kids & Baby, Raffles Privato, MASH-UP, PHANTACi, RÊVASSEUR, SEAN & SHEILA, Thomas Wee and UNIQLO LifeWear)




















For peeps who had your eyes set on the pieces that you have seen during the runway, good news is the clothes and accessories shown on the runway are available from the stores in Orchard Road. There are also numerous fashion-inspired events and activities such as style workshops hosted by top stylists and fashion themed photography exhibitions running through this 6 weeks (25 March to 8 May 2016).
