When we talk about the art of soup making, nobody represent the Chinese better than the Cantonese. But there are more than just soup in the traditional Cantonese cuisine. Follow me as I share with you how fresh ingredients meets refined Cantonese flavours in Cassia @ Capella Singapore this Chinese New Year!
Toss to a year of good health and prosperity with Cassia’s Prosperity Lou Hei (百花齐放捞起,$68 for 2 to 4 pax)! Major love the homemade passionfruit sauce which gives a refreshing citrusy touch to the generous serving of fresh greens and salmon! Hard to say no to yusheng like this!
For those who loves FRESH SEAFOOD such as lobster and sea urchin, you can also opt for the Cassia’s Signature Lou Hei (凯嘉品味捞起, $38 per pax with a minimum order for 2)
One of the best part of any meal is to slurp up a hot bowl of soupy goodness! If you are looking to enjoy a hot bowl of comforting clear soup brimming with all the nutritional value of luxurious ingredients extracted through long hours of delicate cooking. This is it, the Double-boiled Chicken Soup with Abalone, Dried Scallop & Sea Whelk 干贝响螺鲍鱼炖鸡汤!
You know how good a dish is when you hear nothing but complete silence except for occasional sound of munching! Wok-fried Japanese M9 Wagyu Beef with Young Ginger & Pineapple is definitely not to be missed. The bite sized beef cubes were so tender that I hated myself for not savouring it slow enough! Give me more please!
Now, for those who know your fish, Chilean Sea Bass tasted like black cod but sweeter. Hence more expensive too. Baked Chilean Sea Bass with Homemade Special Chilli Sauce 风味酱烤智利鳕鱼 was one of my favorite dish. It was so buttery and sweet that I can have the whole fish by myself, if it was served to me and only me! A very well executed dish that is good to have it on its own without the homemade chilli too! But you may want to save that chilli to have with the next dish, Lai Wan Fried Rice with Chinese Sausage, Diced Abalone and Prawns 凯嘉荔湾香炒饭.
We ended our meal with the Homemade Lotus Seed Tea with Dried Longan 养生园肉莲子茶. Although the dessert is on the sweeter side, it is a nourishing beauty dessert that I don’t mind having a second serving.
For the year of the Golden Rooster, Cassia @ Capella Singapore has prepared 4 auspicious set menu-s ($79++ to $199++ per pax) to welcome an awesome year ahead. Although Cassia @ Capella Singapore is located in Sentosa, it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city and in the midst of lush greenery. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a fine dining Chinese restaurant (to impress) that serves up nothing but quality food to usher you into the Golden Rooster of good health, prosperity and wealth!
P.S: There are valet parking available and there are special Lunch and Dinner Entrance Fee to Sentosa at $2 per car from Monday to Friday! The set menu is only till 11 Feb 2017. So quickly made that table reservation and mark your calendar!
