Product Review: Environ C-Boost & RAD SPF15

As a very vain person, I am always on the look out for products that can help my skin be in a better condition. I believe that great skin set a good base to look better with or without make-up.  Recently, I discovered 2 products (Environ C-Boost & Environ RAD SPF 15) and I can’t wait to share with you gals.

A little bit of background, Environ is formulated by a reowned Cape Town plastic surgeon Dr Des Fernandes, a pioneer who introduce Vitamin A to skincare formulations to maintain healthy skin. He is one of the first to use Vitamin A in doses enough to ensure genuine, visible effect to the skin. The scientifically proven efficacy of his products has made it a hit amongst many international beauty editors, skincare therapists and dermatologists.
From the Sun Care range, I have tried RAD SPF 15. This product is rich in antioxidants and suitable for all skin types including babies from age of12 months old! The ingredients are as follow:
Aqua (Water), Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Pentylene Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Parraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Tricontanyl PVP, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Polysorbate 40, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Dimethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Beta – Carotene, Polysorbate 60, Alumina, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Silica, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, Xanthan Gum, Gelatin, Sucrose, Zea Mays (Corn) Oil, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, BHT.
Like most Asians, I have combination skin, dry around cheeks & mouth areas but oily T-zone. The texture of Environ RAD is slightly creamier as compared to many sunscreens that I have tried. BUT I am surprised about how it left my face feeling moisturized at the end of the day. It is also easy to apply without leaving behind a white trail on my face which made me look like a ghost. What I like most about RAD is that it leaves a beautiful glow on my face! It is also good to know that It is PABA free, colourant free and fragrance free so it is suitable for sensitive skin as well! The only complain I have of the product is that it is only SPF 15, which means I got to apply it more often throughout the day. However, with the awesome glow on the face, I do not mind applying it more often.
Uneven skin tone is one problem that affect a lot of ladies. Perhaps due to aging, overexposure to the sun or hormonal changes such as menopause, pregnancy, many sought help with whitening skincare. Like many have known that skin whitening products are meant to revert our skin to our natural skin tone. For people like me who have mild case of freckles, the good news is vitamin A and C can help to lighten the problematic areas. Environ C-Boast is one of such products. The ingredients are as follow: Aqua (Water), Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Pentylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Ethoxydiglycol, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Stearic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Acrylates/ C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate, Crosspolymer, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide.
C-Boost is a clarifying cream formulated to improve our skin condition on pigmentation and sun damaged skin. It contains a stable form of vitamins C (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate) which helps to boost collagen growth (yay to firmer skin!), reduce fine lines and reduce pigmentation (double yay!!). The product is easy to apply, non greasy and doesn’t leave you with a powdery feel.

After using it for more than a week, I find my face feeling more hydrated and looking more dewy. My make up stays better and my skin become brighter. However this product must be used within 6-8 weeks after opening as it contains no preservatives, colourants and fragrances.

I would really consider buying them as I have soon finished using them. Overall, I really like how they improved my skin condition. On days without make-up, I am happy and proud to go out with a healthy looking and dewy face.
