Wine Fiesta 2016 is happening this weekend (21 ~ 23 October 2016) at Clifford Square. I went down at 4pm on Friday to check out the event. Stay with me as I share with you the highlights of the event.
I am a huge fan of the food at Burnt Ends. Hence this is something that I am really looking forward to. Specially designed by award winning chef Dave Pynt from Burnt Ends, which was ranked 30 at Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant 2016, a surprise tasting flight of 4 dishes paired with 4 natural wines will be available during Wine Fiesta. Remember to rsvp for your seats if you are interested as only limited slots are available!
Dave and his team will be present to explain the pairings as they are a big believer in natural wines and would be one of the first in Singapore to have it on their wine list at Burnt Ends.
The wines used for the pairings are from BK Wines, Lucy M, Ochota Barrels & Ministry of Clouds from Adelaide Hills.
If you want to know more about natural wines, you can feel free to throw your queries to the wine makers during the session.

After some wine tastings, I bet you will be feeling hungry. But not to worry, there are food available. Not just any food, but food from renowned restaurants such as Burnt Ends, Cheeks By Jowl, Meat Smith, Monti, Tin Hill Social, Tamarind Hill…etc
If the idea of pairing local delights with wines intrigued you, remember to drop by Good Chance Popiah to try their Salted Egg Crab Meat Popiah ($12). I heard that it is best to pair with the wine from Ministry of Cloud. =)
If your purpose to visit Wine Fiesta is to learn more about the production processes and characteristics of the wines, there are hundreds of wines from around the world for you to learn and sample.
This year Wine Fiesta theme is “Rising Roots” so not to forget to drop by the natural wine booths to find out more about natural wines which are made from organic grapes.
