From 2 to 4 April 2021, Burger & Lobster at Raffles Hotel will be running a special Easter Brunch menu to commemorate this annual feast. Besides having almost everything with eggs and lobsters, be prepared to enjoy some asian twist in your food.
For those who like the Sichuan peppercorn and chili pepper seasoning, Mala Corn on the Cob at $6++ is packed with a nice heat that give you a pouty lips after eating it. If you prefer something buttery and smooth, Pomme Purée ($7++) is quite an addictive mashed potatoes to have.
The signature Lobsters Egg Royale ($16++), an egg Custard with lobster and truffle puree, is one of the starter to choose from. We have enjoyed how the silky, soft and savory egg custard coupled with the sweetness from the lobsters as well as the burst of flavours from the ikura. Yummmm.
For those who like pan seared scallops, Seared Scallops with Goma Cream and Ikura ($20++) uses Hokkaido Scallops and is served on a bed of Edamame Puree topped with Goma Cream Sauce and Ikura.
B&L Benedict ($26++) is like an elavated version of an egg benedict. Besides sliced avocadoes, there is this crispy applewood smoked bacon, lobster bisque mayonnaise, and lobster bisque hollandaise together 2 nicely sous vide egg.
As a fan of taco, I enjoyed the B&L Breakfast Taco ($24++) that is made with Corn Taco Shells, avocado guacamole, pico de gallo, lobster scrambled eggs, corriander and lime. The different layers of textures together with the savory elements in the dish made it rather enjoyable.
If you like a tipple or two, there is also a wide selection of drinks including Mimosa with a choice of Orange or Grapefruit at $15++, a refreshing twist to the classic Bloody Mary at $22++ featuring Old Young’s smoked Vodka and Alain Milliat’s red tomato juice, Nespresso Martini at $18++ which is a blend of Old Young’s pure Vodka and Old Young’s cold drip coffee Vodka with a shot of Nespresso.
Personally, I have also enjoyed the BBQ Whiskey Sour ($16++) which is a refreshing cocktail concocted with bourbon, lemon, charred lapsang souchong and egg white. The smokiness of the drink made it rather alluring in my honest opinion. So much so I have 2 of it. So delicious.
