Located at Clarke Quay The Central basement 1, Squash is a small stall selling juices, salads and wraps with the aim of providing healthier food without compromising with the taste. I am very blessed to be invited by Ian to join Shirley, Amie and Lirong for a food tasting at Squash. I had my first Lou Hei here too. 🙂
Founded by Mr Allan Foo whose health used to suffer from constant late nights, busy work schedule and unhealthy diet till he found the benefits of juices and micro-nutrients. Inspired by his own changes, Allan founded Squash with the aim to help others to restore their health back to where our body intended it to be.
Beside using minimum amount of salt and sugar, Squash has over 30+ selection of fresh ingredients for you to choose from.
On top of offering the base of greens or in house noodles salads, there are also interesting sauces such as the rojak sauce and premium toppings such as chicken bulgogi, beef kimchi and mushroom egg fritata.
If you are like me who like fuss free eating, you can even turn the salad into a wrap!

Spicy Thai Prawn Salad |
Unlike the usual thai salad that I usually have, this is very mildly spicy but the sweetness of the prawns made me rather happy to have my greens.

Chicken Bulgogi Salad |
A rather interesting fusion salad and I recommend this to those who love to have more carb and protein in their diet. The chicken bulgogi is well marinated and goes well with the pasta.

Ultimate Rojak Salad |
The highlights of the tasting goes to the Ultimate Rojak Salad. With the Tau-pok-ton, dried cuttlefish and the lovely rojak sauce, this salad is so addictive that we asked for a second serving which was wiped out moments after it was served!
With the slogan of “Not all juices are created equal”, Squash cold pressed juices are concocted to let us enjoy the drinks while drinking the essence of the selected fruits and vegetables. From what I understand, the drinks can be kept up to 3 days refrigerated and a bottle costs from $6.90 onwards. Squash also offers juice detox programs for 3, 5 and 7 days with 5 bottles of juices per day. The following are the juices available –
Amazing Trio: Apple, Carrot, Orange
Hydrate: Coconut water, Cucumber, Watermelon, Kalamansi
Awake: Apple, Pineapple, Ginger, Cinnamon
Vita Max: Apple, Beetroot, Carrot, Celery, Orange
Purity: Pear, Honeydew, Cucumber, Kale, Lemon, Ginger
Antioxidant: Apple, Pear, Mix Berries, Pomegranate
As I mentioned earlier I have my first Lou Hei in 2015. This is definitely a healthier version with a twist by having smoked salmon, nacho chips, nuts, and berry vinaigrette instead of the usual sauce and ingredients. Best of all, the taste does not compromise and it tastes as good as any other lou hei. *Thumb up*
Being in Singapore, a food paradise, it is indeed a huge blessing. However with our hectic lifestyle, sometimes it is hard to eat clean and eat healthy especially with many salad bars charging exorbitant prices. I am so glad that there is a place that offers value for money salad without compromising with the taste.
