Explore Sentosa like a tourist with Happy 2 Joyrides package from One Faber Group

Having to travel relatively often and discover the beauty of other countries, I have always think to myself if I have ever explore my own country enough. Hence, I have decided to discover the beauty that Sentosa has to offer together with some of my loved ones.

What is a better way to travel to Sentosa than having a cable car ride, right?

So we gathered at Faber Peak Singapore to take a cable ride over to Sentosa as we wanted to enjoy both the views around Harborfront as well as Sentosa.
Sentosa-36
Our first stop was the Sentosa Merlion. Being a Singaporean, the legend of the Merlion, which is a half lion half fish, and the folklore of Prince Sang Nila Utama’s discovery of Singapura is no stranger to me.

However, it is kind of nice to play as a tourist in my own country especially after this 37 metre-tall mythical creature has undergone a revamp and it is now offering a refreshed experience with a new interactive web game for the visitors! Download the web game with 1FABERGROUP.COM/MERLION-QUEST

Besides the cute Merlion standee that offers photo opportunity, there are several bagua aka hexagon-shaped machines that allow visitors to get a souvenir Merlion Prosperity coin after inserting the Merlion card.

The view from the Mouth Gallery of the Sentosa Merlion was definitely breathtaking. Our only regret was it was pouring. Hence, we could not go to the Merlion Head for a more panoramic view.

The Happy 2 Joyrides package which we got included unlimited Singapore Cable Car rides and so we took a ride back to Faber Peak to have our lunch at Spuds & Aprons.

After lunch, we have decided to check out the 131m tall air conditioned Tiger Sky Tower. Although the queue at Tiger Sky Tower was quite long but it was cleared very quickly. What I really like about the Sky Tower was that although I have acrophobia aka the fear of heights but the Sky Tower was very stable and safe that I do not feel it raising to the top. Before I know it, I was enjoying the amazing 360 degree view of Sentosa.

As the Tiger Sky Tower is adjacent to the Imbiah Lookout Cable Car Station, we have decided to take a cable car ride on the Sentosa Line. Something unique about this line is that it is linked to heaps of attractions around Sentosa.
sentosa line
From the Merlion station to Imbiah Lookout station and Siloso Point station, one can enjoy the view of the lush greenery in Sentosa before arriving at the sandy beaches at Siloso. Other attractions that the Sentosa Line can take you to are Madame Tussauds Singapore, Megazip Adventure Park, Skyline Luge Sentosa, Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium and more!

As we were planning to watch Wings of Time, we have decided to have our dinner at Good Old Days restaurant which is located nearby.
Sentosa-41
To be honest, the food at Good Old Days restaurant surprised us in a good way. Not only it was cheaper than expected. Well, you can’t blame me for thinking this way as most of the eateries in Sentosa have price tags that are on the higher spectrum. We enjoyed the food served.

Sentosa-44
We ordered Chicken Satay ($8.80, 6 pcs) and Shrimp Paste Chicken Wings (6pcs, $8.80) to share and we like how tender and flavorsome the satay was. Shrimp Paste Chicken Wings were also very juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I would think that it was as good as any Tze Char stall out there.
Sentosa-46
One of the highlights for us was the Wok-Fried Egg Tofu & Prawns in Chilli Crab Sauce. Although there is a single portion at $11.80, I said skip that and go for the sharing portion at $12.80. The sweet and spicy tomato sauce has a nice kick to it and it was perfect to go with the rice that come with it. My only regret was “where are my buns??” lol
Sentosa-45
We have also ordered the Singapore Chicken Rice ($12.80) which has a generous portion of chicken served with a soup and vegetables at the side. We thought that this was great to feed 2 girls with smaller appetite.
Sentosa-38
After dinner, we headed to Wings of Time show which is a multi-sensory presentation with a large water screen and a melody of the latest multimedia effects, including 3D projection mapping, state-of-the-art lasers, robotic water fountains and giant water jets as well as pyrotechnics. It was an incredibly outstanding performance. No wonder, it has been voted as the number 1 show in Sentosa by Tripadvisor. I would highly recommend any local or tourist to catch this show if you are visiting Sentosa. Here are some highlights of the show.

From now till 31 August 2018, One Faber Group is running a campaign to celebrate Singapore’s 53rd National day. My fellow Singaporeans, simply spend a minimum $53 with One Faber Group and stand a chance to win a trip worth over S$7,000 to Switzerland to take the cable car on a Mount Titlis tour! There are also other prizes worth over S$14,000 in total to be won. Best of all, we can now play tourists in our own country and get 53% off for packages that include unlimited Cable Car rides plus attractions, dining and or tours! There are also free admissions for locals born in 1965 (53 years old) into Sentosa Merlion, Wings of Time and rides on the Singapore Cable Car. Time to bring your loved ones to Sentosa.
