Congratulations to Chabuton for opening its 4th flagship in Singapore. To celebrate this milestone, Chabuton has launched a new ramen,Yoruton Ramen. I am blessed to be invited to witness the opening ceremony together with many other bloggers few weeks ago.
Apart from a feast for the eyes with the traditional Japanese sword performance, there was a Yoruton Ramen Challenge as well. Kudos to the 5 contestants who signed up for the challenge. They pitted against themselves with the level 5 Yoruton Ramen, which is not for faint hearted. Level 5 is the spiciest level for the Yoruton Ramen and the winner of this challenge walked away $500 richer.
After the challenge, it was time for us to feast on some ramen and sides. We started with the level 1 Yoruton Ramen which is suitable for those with low tolerance for spicy food. I did not find is spicy at all but I like the garlicky taste.
The Yoruton Ramen is a blend of a special spicy chilli paste with Chabuton’s signature Tonkotsu soup. It is only available at Chabuton’s new outlet at Millenia Walk. If you like a little heat, try level 2 while the adventurous should try level 3. For me, level 3 is already very spicy. The spiciness is similar to those of chilli padi but more intense.
For chilli lovers who think they can withstand the fiery flames of level 4 perhaps you can try level 5. This is what the contestants had tried! It is really tongue-torching and nose-watering. I saw every one of them perspired as if they were under scorching hot sun while trying to finish the challenge, so beware!
From now till 31st July, with every order of Yoruton Ramen, patrons will get a chop on a loyalty card. A completed card will entitle you a chance to win an Iphone 6 Plus. There are 4 Iphone 6 Plus to be won. Don’t say I bo jio ah. I am also having a giveaway on my instagram, so hop on to my ig. 🙂
