If you are still clueless about where to have a Christmas meal with your partner? The Summerhouse and its igloos in its beautiful garden might be your answer to impress your partner this festive season!
Located within the compounds of Seletar Airport in a beautiful two-storeys black and white colonial bungalow with an idyllic setting, one can easily feel as if The Summerhouse as somewhere out of Singapore.
This Christmas, you can choose to have an intimate dinner in an air-conditioned dome set amongst lush greenery and spend some quality time with your loved ones.
What is a better way to get into a more relaxed and festive mood than a toast. Inclusive in The Summerhouse Garden Dome Festive Menu, one can choose a bottle of white wine (Mount Nelson Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand) or a bottle of red (Montes Limited Edition, Pinot Noir from Chile). We had the white which was light bodied and easy to drink. I like how refreshing it was with a nice crisp and tarty finish.
One get to choose the number of starters depending on how many pax per dome (2 Pax | 2 Starters, 3 Pax | 3 Starters, 4 Pax | 4 Starters, 5 Pax And Above | All Starters).
My favourite among the 5 starters got to be The Summerhouse Signature Crab Omelette with Kampot Peppercorn Sauce. I like how fluffy the omelette was. Oh yes, did I mention that it was stuffed with cheese and handpicked Mud Crab from a local Fish Farm, The Seafood Culture? The hints of spiciness added a nice kick to the dish. So good that I don’t mind having MORE!
For soup, one can choose either the Chestnut Veloute topped with crème fraiche, pecan nut and chives or Ham Hock Broth served with veal and pistachio dumplings and toasted rye bread. If you are looking for something more festive, the nutty chestnut soup is one of the tradition for many with wintery Christmas.
The Christmas Table was served in communal style on the platter, Roast Turkey With Pistachio And Bacon Stuffing, 100 Hour Mayura Wagyu Brisket MBS 9, Honey Roasted Bone-in Ham and Whole Salt Baked Snapper. After I try to avoid beef in my diet, the Whole Salt Baked Snapper was my favorite among the rest. The snapper was so moist and well cooked that I was stuffing myself silly even though I was already very full. Do note that the whole snapper is for diners with 4 pax and above. For smaller group, only a fillet of snapper will be served.
Christmas spice raspberry poached pear was served on a bed of crispy pistachio phyllo pastry with honey ice cream and honeycomb crisps on the side. This was a great way to end the meal on a sweet sweet note. I like how the pear has a nice crunch to it.
If you are looking at spending your Christmas doing something different and unique with your loved ones this year, why not escape into the magical world of The Summerhouse Garden Dome and enjoy a dinner under the moonlight?
