TomorrowFree Kafe near Tai Seng MRT

Despite having a variety of cuisines available in Singapore, local delights always have a place in my heart. To me, they are my staples, my comfort. However, it is also not easy to find a place that sell all kinds of local delights under one roof. Good news for me and peeps working around Tai Seng precinct, TomorrowFree Kafei is one such place. A traditional home style cafe that sells local delights.

Yam Cake ($3 for 2 pcs)
Chee Cheong Fun ($3 for 2 pcs)
Operating from 8 o’clock in the morning from monday to friday, TomorrowFree Kafei provides an alternative for kopitiam local breakfast for the working crowd around the vicinity. Items such as chee cheong fun and yam cake are spotted here.
Fried Chicken Wings ($1.40 for 2 pcs)

Cafe owner, Steven placed great emphasis on retaining the flavours and cultures passed down from the previous generation. Thus most of the items spotted here are prepared from scratch. Simple dish such as fried chicken wings are well marinated with crispy thin batter that will give you a sense of simple home cooked goodness.

Bak Kut Teh ($7)

If you like something peppery, clear Bak Kut Teh with a mild hints of herbal taste, do give this a try. I like how the pork rib fall off the bone effortlessly. Steven made this from scratch with his secret recipe and it is best to have the pork ribs with some chilli padi and dark soy sauce.

Mee Siam ($4)
Curry Chicken ($5)

Raved by many and can be redeemed on Sugar App. The serving of the curry chicken is generous and the curry gravy is also thick and fragrant.

Braised Pork Rice ($5)

One of my favourite, as the pork belly is tender and flavourful. There are mushrooms and broccoli served at the side which made this a wholesome dish for lunch.

Chicken Chop ($13.90)

The perfectly cooked chicken chop with potato salad by the side, this dish is inspired by traditional hainanese chicken chop.

Cupcake ($3.50)

I always look forward to tea break time. There is a promotion of having a cupcake and a drink (traditional kopi/ teh) for $4 at TomorrowFree KaFei. Seriously, I don’t mind walking over to get this set if I am working around Tai Seng area.

Steven prided the cafe as a place where food quality is not compromised with the price tag and deliver fond memories of home cooked goodness. Some of the signature dishes are Curry Chicken, Braised Pork and Bak Kut Teh, made from scratch with all-natural ingredients and without any artificial  flavourings. If you are looking for local delight with cafe setting and price tag easy on the pocket, do give TomorrowFree KaFei a try.
