As a frequent traveller, cost efficient is essential for me in order to travel to more places. Hence, I was elated to find out Scoot will be flying from Singapore to Laos on 1 April 2019. Hello Kuang Si Falls, another destination off my bucket list!!! Woohoo~~~
I am one of the few blessed to be onboard this inaugural flight to Laos which marked Scoot’s network to be spanned across 67 destinations in 19 countries and territories!
Besides flying on Scoot’s A320 aircraft 3 times weekly from Singapore to Luang Prabang and Vientiane, Scoot is also the only airline offering direct flight from Singapore to Laos. These routes are actually a transfer from its sister airline SilkAir.
To celebrate this joyous occasion, there was a little party in the mid air where traditional Laos music was played and 5 lucky passengers also walked away with prizes such as a SGD100 Scoot travel voucher!
After which, passengers also get to take pictures with the air crew for memory keeping as it is not everyday you get to be onboard an airline’s inaugural flight to a destination.
Overall Scoot’s inaugural flight to Luang Prabang was a smooth and comfortable one. I also get to enjoy my inflight meal, Nasi Lemak!
For those who are looking at flying to Laos, one-way tax-inclusive Economy FLY fares to Luang Prabang and Vientiane start from $125 and $100 respectively and you can find out more on Scoot’s website.
Really can’t wait to share with you more about my adventures Laos!! Just like what Mr Vinod Kannan, Chief Commercial Officer of Scoot, said, “Laos is a hidden gem that is yet to be discovered by many”. There are so much to offer. From a non-riding elephant experience at MandaLao Elephant Camp to Kuang Si Waterfalls to Lao Buffalo Dairy Farm to Ock Pop Tok Living Craft Centre to Wat Phra Kaew, Buddha Park and many others, there are so much to see and explore!!!
Stay tune guys, as I will be sharing my itinerary in Laos as well as the accommodation that I have stayed!!! One of the accommodation is the newly open Pullman Luang Prabang which is spread across 16 hectares of landscaped gardens, complete with reflective ponds, tumbling streams and working paddy fields!
