5 reasons why VLV is your next stop

Some of you might have heard of VLV, a new multi-layer entertainment destination in Clarke Quay, where heritage, style, dining and parties come together. But stay with me as I share why I think you should be here!

VLV @ Clarke Quay-10

1. 2 Entrances!
For those of us who are not very good with direction, getting lost is almost like an everyday affair. Hence, we dislike going to new destination that we are unfamiliar with (at least for me, either I reach very early to find the place or do enough research to make sure that I don’t get lost. I know both are so time consuming!). Taking over the 20,000 sqft space where INDOCHINE was in Clarke Quay, VLV has not 1 but 2 entrances. One of them is located at the heart of Clarke Quay where the water fountain is and the other is along the riverfront. So it is quite hard to get lost. Oh no, there goes my excuse of not being able to find the “place”.

2. Beautiful View
Overlooking the courtyard from the second level of VLV shared a beautiful view of river bank. Catch the beautiful sunset in the evening or just people watch from here can be quite a tranquilizing thing to do. So much so that, this is now my wallpaper on my computer. Looking at it takes away some of the stress and make me feel so thankful that I am born in Singapore!

3. No Chance to eavesdrop
Adequately spaced out, the restaurant at level 2 allows for intimate conversation without any worry of accidentally leaking your dark secrets to the diners nearby. If that is not enough, there are comfortable booth seats and even private dining rooms in VLV. Oh ya, don’t get me started on the service, so professional and yet make me feel so much at home!

4. Happy Tummy
More than often, I am very skeptical about the food if the food presentation is too pretty or impressive. When VLV Beggar Chicken ($58) was served, it was on fire! Wow! Crack it open to reveal that tender and flavourful Sakura chicken, soft chestnut and delicious ceps. Happiness is when the presentation of the food and the taste aligned! So good that I can’t help to reach for another serving. Helmed by Executive Chef Martin Foo who has more than 25 years of culinary and management experience across Asia and a selection of more than 60 Chinese delicacies focusing on traditional Cantonese flavours with modern food presentation, it is hard to leave VLV hungry and angry.

5. After dinner activities
While many a time, we need to think of where to go next after dinner, there is no excuse at VLV. VLV Club lounge is fitted with state-of-the-art visual and Pioneer Pro audio technology to provide the best clubbing experience. With luxe leather VIP booths, cosy seats and an open format range of music that is adaptable to the mood of the crowd, this seems like the best place to PARTY!!! For those who prefer to just sit back and relax, there is an al fresco live entertainment in the courtyard complete with a comprehensive list of wine, cocktails and non alcoholic beverages.

Although it is not the cheapest place in town, VLV has so much to offer and injected life to this historic building along the riverfront! Be it business dining, casual catch up session or a celebratory event, there is something for everyone in this double storey heritage building – Chinese Restaurant, Club Lounge, Al Fresco live entertainment courtyard bar and Riverfront dining. Don’t you agreed that VLV is the place to go if you want to have a ball of time?
