With COVID 19 hitting the world, travelling seems impossible but I am so glad that the hospitality industry as well as the F&B have lined up interesting programs for us to explore our little red dot. Tablescape’s Glamping Picnic at the rooftop terrace of Grand Park City Hall is one of the recent tourist-in-my-own-city experience that I have enjoyed. Stay with me as I shared more.
Forget about uncomfortable cold hard flooring with you perspiring like crazy. This is not happening for the Glamping Picnic experience with Tablescape. Instead, imagine comfortable fluffy cushions, air-cooled interiors with you and your friends toasting one another with flutes of champagne as you nibble on some delicious bites from the picnic basket that Tablescape has prepared for you.
There are a total of 2 seatings (5.30pm or 8pm) with each lasting two hours. Do remember to make your reservation early as there are only 2 tents available. Oh yes, you will need to remove your shoes to go into the giant tent so remember not to wear any holey socks. For drinks wise, you can choose from either free-flow soft drinks, 2 cans of Tiger beer or 2 glasses of housepour red or white, or prosecco! You can also order more drinks from Tablescape’s own beverage list.
Besides Cheese platter, there will be lobster salad with caviar on fluffy blinis; Foie Gras with housemade brioche and Tablescape-Style Mini Beef Burgers, among other dainty bites. But do note that as Grand Park City Hall is all about sustainability and eco- responsibility so the set-up will use as little disposables and single-use items as possible without compromising on the strict levels of hygiene the new normal demands.
Beside the Giant Tentage Glamping experience, there is also a gazebo where you can enjoy the city light while having Tablescape’s 4-course degustation menu. As there is only 2 tents and 1 gazebo, with a maximum of five persons can be accommodated in each of the tents as well as the gazebo, Tablescape’s glamping picnic experience is suitable for small gathering, proposal or even just a romantic date night. There is a minimum spending of $88++ per person and a total minimum spending of $350++. As the promotion is only available until 30 June 2021 with 1 day’s advance reservation is required, I would highly recommend early booking especially if you have any special requests (at least three days in advance).
