Buildings are being reconstructed, revamped or built at a very fast speed in Singapore. Capitol Piazza is one such example where the old meets the new. Retaining the heritage Capitol building facade, there are new wings with many new and exciting F&B and retail outlets (some are in midst of opening while we speak). Two Saturdays ago, I attended one of the soft launch of an aesthetic spa, Simply Aesthetics, located in Capitol Piazza.
This is their first outlet and the whole place is decked in white and gold deco which give a luxurious feel. A light refreshment consisted of tapas, cake pops, macarons and mini cupcakes were served. Pretty much isn’t it? Heheh I am not complaining 😉
As it was an afternoon event, sparkling juices were served instead of champagne. I like the idea of drinking juices from champagne glasses. lol
Simply Aesthetics offers a variety of treatments using the latest non-invasive technologies such as Fat Freeze, LED Teeth Whitening and Glow Zone Laser Facial. For those of us who attended the soft launch, we have the privilege of trying one of the treatments of our choice.
It is good to know that all the body and face treatments are done on this hydro massage bed. Personally, I like the overall feel of this bed as it kept me warm throughout the treatment much like lying on a warm bed. It was very comfortable and allowed me to feel very relax throughout the treatment.
As you may have guessed correctly, I chose the fat freeze trial treatment (Simply dislike the spare tyre of mine :/). Unlike the standard treatment time of 50 mins, the fat freeze trial treatment was 20 mins. This treatment is a non-invasive alternative to liposuction. The machine will freeze the fats on the problematic areas through the application of cooling plates while leaving other tissues (skin, blood vessels and nerves) unharmed. At the start of the treatment, I felt a slight pulling pain from the suction but after a while it become bearable that I can even play with my handphone. Although I did suffer some bruises from the suction, it goes away after a few days.
It was quite an eye opening event where I learn more about some of the state of art beauty equipment. Best of all, there is also a mini photo booth where the group of us started to cam whore.
