What does Christmas mean to you?
When I was younger, I used to think that Santa would really come by my house and drop me a pressie even when I have no chimney at home (HDB, how to have chimney right). As I started growing older, I realised that there is no Santa but a part of me is still looking for some magical moments somewhere.
This Christmas, I have found my little magical moment with Etude House with ETUDE HOUSE 2015 Snowy Dessert holiday collection.
The Snowy Dessert collection comes with an array of really cute and pretty make up such as the Snowy Dessert Pudding Tint ( $13.90 each), Snowy Dessert Play 101 Pencil ($12 each), Snowy Dessert Ginger Cookie Blusher ($23.90), Snowy Dessert Cookie Contour Maker ($24.90), Snowy Dessert Scented Wax Tablet ($16.90), Snowy Dessert Hand Cream ($9.90 each) and Snowy Dessert Christmas Set (from $14.90). Amongst them, the Snowy Dessert Ginger Cookie Blusher and Snowy Dessert Cookie Contour Maker stole my heart. They reminded me of the gingerbread man (also known as Gingy) in the movie Shrek which I super heart!
On one of the Saturdays, I was invited to Etude House at Vivo City to join them for an Christmas event where we get to know more about the Snowy Dessert Collection with a DIY gelish nail tutorial session. The event was held at the princessy nail palour inside Etude House. Those who has visited Etude House at Vivo City would notice this pink girlish space besides the retail section that offers manicure and pedicure services. The event started with the beautiful peeps from Etude House doing a makeup demo on how to achieve this season look with the Snowy Dessert collection and a detailed introduction on each product. Amongst them, I find the Snowy Dessert Scented Wax Tablet rather interesting. The scented wax tablet come in 2 scents (Tiramisu and Red Velvet) and can last up to 4 months. The first look at it, I thought it looks like a bar of soap. Thank God for the introduction if not, I might make a fool out of myself. lolAfter the make up demo, we have Ying from The Nail Artelier to guide us through the art of doing gelish nail at the convenience of our home using Etude House Enamelting Gel Nails colours. Tada~~~ this is what I have helped Vivian to do during the session. She originally had some classic gelish manicure done at 3D nails. So I just added some glitters and draw a cupcake on the one of the fingers to complete that christmasy look for Vivian. One of the important things to note while DIY-ing your nails at home is to remember to keep your nails free of moisture and oil before you start doing your nails. Ying advised to have 2 nails with complicated designs while keeping the rest of the nails with normal design or gradient nails as too many complicated designs might be overwhelming. She also highlighted the importance of using cuticle stick or a gel cleanser to remove the nail polish on your skin before putting into the Enamelting Gel LED Lamp so as to let the gelish nail last longer. Another tip that she shared is to get only the primary colours when you first started doing gelish as the colours can be mix and match. Thank you Etude House for the media invite that I get to learn more about the Snowy Dessert Collection and DIY gelish nail. Best of all, I get to catch up with Celine who I have not met for a while. I have also brought a bag of beautiful make up from Etude House home and good news for my readers, I am doing a giveaway for the Snowy Dessert Pudding Tint. I have 5 different shades to be given away. Simply like my facebook page or follow me on instagram and share with me on the shade that you would like to win with your email address in the comment section to stand a chance to win it. I will select 3 winners from instagram and 2 winners from facebook. Good luck, guys! The Snowy Dessert Pudding Tint came in 5 different shades (#01 Soft Strawberry Pudding, #02 Bouncy Apricot Pudding, #03 Sweet Grapefruit Pudding, #04 Sticky Rich Pudding, #05 Soft Apple Pudding) with unique fruity smell. Application of the lip tint is rather simple by scooping an appropriate amount of Pudding Tint with enclosed spoon, apply onto lips in a circular motion, and spread with back of spoon. The beauty of this lip tint is it is quite pigmented so long lasting colours is ensured. It also melts gently onto lips with a bouncy texture. =) Sounds good, right?Other than the Lip Tint Pudding, I also got my hands on the Snowy Dessert Hand Cream Set ($29.90) with Loving Days Blooming Love Hand Cream, Loving Days Sweet Sparkling Hand Cream and Loving Days Cool Sugar Hand Cream. The retail price is $9.90 each so I thought the set is quite value for money isn’t it? There is also set of 5 available with Snowy Dessert Vanilla Cupcake Hand Cream, Snowy Dessert Apricot Tart Hand Cream, Loving Days Blooming Love Hand Cream, Loving Days Sweet Sparkling Hand Cream and Loving Days Cool Sugar Hand Cream. We all know that the signs of ageing are most visible on 3 areas – eyes, neck and hands. So better moisturize the hands as much as we care for our faces before it is too late loh. Last but not least the Why not me Eau de Perfume which has a beautiful floral notes. I bought this to my latest trip to Vietnam and the scent lasted the whole day without being too overpowering. Simply perfect for the cooling weather in Hanoi! Remember to participate in my giveaway on facebook. Apology to oversea friends as this giveaway is only applicable to people residing in Singapore.
