Heart of Darkness Brewery x Nesuto Pairing

What happened when a French-Japanese premium pastry joint has Heart of Darkness Brewery as its neighbour? Well, a best of both worlds collaboration is born. From 16 Nov to 1pm to 17 Nov 10.30pm, Heart of Darkness will be serving a cake pairing with 4 of its unique craft beer at 55 Tras Street.

Known for its delicate confections and beautiful handcrafted cakes, Nesuto Patisserie, has prepared 4 unique bakes that are inspired by a variety of beers from Heart of Darkness to complement each other. Among the 4 bakes (Citrus Meringue Tart, Coconut Pineapple Panna Cotta, Chocolate Cherry Pudding, Tiramisu Coffee Tart) my favourite is the Citrus Meringue Tart which has a well balanced lemon lime curd with a very lovely buttery tart base that pairs well with the Conquistador’s Mexican Pilsner. The Tiramisu Coffee Tart is also very unique as it is my first time trying a tiramisu with a tart base and topped with a white coffee macaron. So decadent that no calories is wasted!

Beside the Conquistador’s Mexican Pilsner, there are Heart of Darkness’ all-time bestseller, Dream Alone Pale Ale, Director’s Cacao Nib Porter as well as Excited Magpie Dry Stout which is made with a whole lot of coffee beans to enhance its coffee flavour and aroma! Alcoholic coffee, I like!

One could enjoy this ultimate Dessert Pairing of scrumptious cake and ice-cold beer at $45 per ticket and ticket can be purchased on eventbrite So don’t miss it. I thought this set is best to appeal to a couple, one who enjoy her cakes and the other with the great love for craft beer. This is the best time to enjoy something that each other like together.
