What is a Silhouette Soft face thread lift?
A face thread lift by Sinclair Pharma, the global leader in aesthetics technology with a focus on collagen stimulation. It is a non-surgical, minimally invasive lunch time procedure that uses biocompatible PLLA threads to lift saggy skin in the face and neck and double chin. Silhouette Soft can be used to treat sagging in the face and neck. For example, sagging cheeks, laugh lines (nasolabial folds), marionette lines, jowls and poorly defined jawline.
Is the Silhouette Soft face threadlift safe?
Silhouette Soft suspension sutures are made from PLLA and PLGA (Poly L Lactic Acid & Poly Lactic-co-Glycolic Acid), both utilised safely in medicine for decades. Hence, it is considered a very safe treatment and side effects are usually very rare and minimal. In the hands of an experienced and meticulous doctor like Dr Rachel Ho; who also has surgical training in facial plastics; the results are good and safe.
Who is suitable for Silhouette Soft treatment?
It is suitable for all skin types and for both men and women aged 30 and above who are looking at combating the signs of ageing effectively without undergo a surgery.


Does a face threadlift thread lift hurt?
A numbing cream will be applied to the area where the face thread lift will be done. Hence, you should feel very little discomfort. What I like about Dr Rachel Ho is that she has also provided the option of taking oral painkillerand she will check on you as the procedure is being carried out to ensure that you will have minimal discomfort.


After the markings are made as a guideline on where the Silhouette Soft threads will be inserted, a local anaesthetic is injected to the treated area. Hence, from this point onwards in the face thread lift with Dr Rachel Ho, I have experienced no pain at all.

Then Dr Rachel Ho proceed to insert the Silhouette Soft thread under the skin at a precise depth and position. As Silhouette Soft® thread is inserted via a fine cannula, there is no need for any incision. Overall, it is relatively pain free and best of all, there is NO down time and the entry and exit points were so small that nobody noticed them when I went for an event the very next day!

How long does the whole face thread lift procedure takes?
The whole procedure takes about 30 to 45 minutes.


What are the expected results from the face thread lift treatment?
With the stimulated collagen regeneration from the Silhouette Soft face thread lift, you can expect to see that any fine lines and wrinkles are less noticeable with improved skin texture and increased elasticity. Depending on which area of the face that you are doing, you will find that the sagging skin are now more lifted with better definition and sustained collagen regeneration. Hence, the sign of ageingare greatly reduced and you can easily shave 5 years off.

Will there be any swelling and bruising after a face threadlift?
Depending on individuals, some may suffer from some swelling and bruising which will subside after a few days. For my case, I have minimal swells and bruising after the face threadlift by Dr Rachel Ho. While there was a needle hole mark from the entry point of the procedure, it was hardly visible and is gone after about a week. Dr Rachel Ho did mention that there might be a very low chance of having infection. Hence, I was given some antibiotics to take over a few days to reduce this risk.
Can face thread lifts go wrong?
Yes, there is a very low risk of having side effects. Some of the side effects include skin irregularities such as dimples, bumps as well as prolonged aching, thread displacement and infection. Which is why I feel very strongly on going back to a GOOD doctor that you are familiar with or one that you have seen people having good results.

How long does Silhouette Soft face thread lift last?
Results of a Silhouette Soft face or neck thread lift are immediate and may last up to 18 months.
Can Silhouette Soft threadlift be combined with other treatments?
Silhouette Soft treatment can be a standalone treatment or in combination other treatments like fillers and BOTOX® for optimal natural-looking results. Some people also opt to enhance the results by combining them with other non-invasive face-lifting procedures such as HIFU and Profhilo.
