Lovers of peanut candy, rejoices! Dessert Story has recently launched its latest dessert – Peanut Ice-cream Roll! Originates from Taiwan, Dessert Story is the first dessert brand to bring this to Singapore’s shores! Seriously can’t contain my excitement as I share with you more.
Dessert Story has imported a gigantic peanut candy block from Taiwan. Although we have something similar item in Vietnam, we do not eat it the same way. The fine peanut shavings was meticulously shaved off the block by hand before coriander was added. While you might find it strange to see this combination, trust me this combo is going to take you by surprise. In fact, the aroma from the herb elevated the entire dessert! Just like how we would wrap the spring roll, two scoops of home made ice-cream were rolled in together with the other ingredients. The ice-cream comes in a choice of two flavours – coconut and yam. At $3.50 per roll, I considered them as a steal! Well, at least, I do not need to buy a air ticket to Taiwan to try this dessert at Dan Shui!
Beside the popiah dessert, Dessert Story has also introduced the new “Duo Ice”. This dessert comes in 2 flavours – Mango & Coconut or Strawberry & Yoghurt ($5.90 per serving). I prefer the Mango & Coconut one, a refreshing and delightful combination which you can never go wrong with. As a great way to combat the local sweltering weather, I am sure that this finely shaved ice dessert is definitely going to be a hit at Dessert Story. What do you think?
