Woohoo… Juju Coffee has recently opened its door at 5 Tan Quee Lan Street. So coffee lovers near bugis will now have another choice to grab your caffeine fix from. Now, let me share with you 5 interesting facts about Juju Coffee.
Location
Located at the same spot where Joo Bar is. Fans of Joo Bar, no worries, Joo Bar is still around la. I would cry if they are not, I love their housemade Makgeolli!
Baristas
There are currently 2 baristas at Juju Coffee. One of the barista, Eugene, was formerly from Marvx Coffee, located at Duxton Road and Juju Coffee is serving a blend of 4 beans (Guatemala, Brazil, Sumatra and Columbia) from Aussie roaster, Allpress.
More than Just Espresso based coffee
Besides espresso based coffee, you can also find cold brew made using a blend of 5 beans (Guatemala, Brazil, Sumatra and Columbia and Nicaragua). If you like something easy to drink, you might like this cold brew. I have tried the cold brew white but I personally prefer something of a stronger kick. Maybe I will try the black cold brew the next time.
Food?
Yes, Juju Coffee also serves sandwiches and croissants from Antoinette! I have tried the Chicken Sandwich($8) and I totally love it. The chicken toppings has a beautiful aroma of the sweet basil so for those who like basil, this is it! Best of all, Juju Coffee is using artisanal foccacia bread for the sandwich. What is there not to love, right? Comforting and delicious!
Vegetarian Option?
Besides the chicken and beef sandwiches, there is also a vegetarian option, MUSHROOM sandwich ($7). Mushroom, spinach and pesto on artisanal bread is so good that I don’t mind turning vegan for a meal. ?
