After hearing so much about Assembly Coffee, I finally made my way down to Evan Road with J. Located at Evan Lodge between wine company and Mr Prata, Assembly coffee can be easily missed if you don’t keep your eyes open wide. I nearly missed it. Hiaks. I am rather thankful that J drives as the place is not very accessible via public transport. According to Street directory, it takes about 10 mins to travel there via walking and taking bus from botanic garden MRT station. 
We reached at about 12plus last Saturday and were quite lucky that it wasn’t too crowded. The cafe is relatively small with servers all in their early 20s. Definitely a very vibrant and cheerful place but would really prefer it to be bigger, less cramped and less noisy. haha
Note that the place is relatively self service with a ice water and cutlery corner. On top of that, ordering is done at the counter. Currently, they only accept cash and nets and good news is not GST or service charge. ^^
I ordered an Earl Grey Caramel Buttermilk waffles ($11.50). Personally I like the waffle as it is really soft and fluffy and I think it would be even better if it is slightly more crispy on the outside. Something that really wow me is the Earl Grey Caramel, I love the aroma of the citrus bergamot and the fact that the caramel is not too sweet. Overall taste is relatively lovely.
J ordered the pull pork sandwishes ($14.90) and I have tried some. Overall I like the well seasoned moist pull pork while J feel that the pull pork is slightly overhanded on the spices.
We ordered Mocha ($5) and Latte ($4.50). As they are serving Liberty coffee, quality of the coffee is being assured. Personally I find my latte(the one in blue saucer) strong enough for me and very aromatic. Even picky coffee drinker like J finds the coffee quite good as well.What I love most is that beautiful coffee arts! So pleasing to my eyes!!!
To conclude, if you are nearby and wanted a cuppa good coffee and some lovely waffles, this is definitely worth considering.
