One of the most important thing that I look for while travelling is having a good night’s sleep. During my recent trip to Taipei, I stayed at AMBA Taipei @ Songshan, a boutique hotel that is located near the popular Raohe Night Market, Wufenpu Garment Market, romantic Rainbow Bridge, and the new Songshan Station. Besides having fluffy pillows and comfy huge bed, the hotel has so much to offer that I can’t contain my excitement as I share them with you.
First and foremost, travelling to other parts of Taiwan is made easy as AMBA Taipei @ Songshan is just minutes walk to the Train Station.
There is also a sky bridge that connects you to a shopping mall, Citylink where Tomod’s, 7 eleven and a good selection of F&B outlets are located. No fear of getting hungry or missing out on beauty products purchases.
Oh yes, the free shuttle service between amba Taipei Songshan hotel and Xinyi shopping district, including Taipei 101, Shin Kong Mitzukoshi, Eslite Xinyi, and Taipei World Trade Center, is such a dope. Not only does it saves me more time, it saves my transport cost too.
I love that there is a laundry area with washers, dryers and free detergent to wash your clothes. Hahaha, that means I can pack lesser clothes and have more space for shopping! This is also where you can get drinking water and ice.
On top of that, the lobby is absolutely made instagram worthy. I have spotted so many places to take my ootds but where is my photographer? I must travel with one when I visit Taipei the next time!
During my stay at AMBA @ Songshan, I was staying at the Corner Extra Large 101 View Room. I swear that this room has one of the best views of Taipei 101 and the beautiful Keelung River. I have even tried to wake up extra early just to catch the sunrise.
I like the idea of having a separate toilet and bathroom as it means I can shower as long as I like even if my travel companion is rushing for the toilet. hahaha
One of the memorable features of this Corner Extra Large 101 View Room is the minimalist bath tub. Although it is an open concept, it is perfect for couple as it offers a spectacular view of the Keelung River. Not to worry about any peeping toms as it is located on a high floor with low surrounding buildings.
For those who are worried about getting a small vanity area, you will be elated to find a long vanity area which has no problem containing ALL your toiletries. Below the vanity area, are the safe, kettle, hair dryer and bathroom slippers which AMBA encourages its guests to bring home.
To be frank, for a 4-star hotel, I am already more than just impressed. Not only is there a nespresso coffee machine, the tea bags given are of high quality too. The auntie in me brought the tea bags home and my mum loves them!
There are also ample universal power outlets (minimum of 6 power points in each room!!) and even the telephone has 2 USB charging port for you to charge your electronic gadgets. I say this is very thoughtful, isn’t it? There is SUPER FAST wifi and Wireless Bluetooth® speaker with 360º stunning sound for you to enjoy your favorite music!
To inject more fun into this chic hotel, all the hotel room numbers are linked to a part of the history that happened on that particular year. Oh yes, for those who hates to drag your luggage on carpeted flooring, AMBA Taipei @ Songshan has the flooring made of a very unique material which made pulling those cumbersome luggages to your room a breeze. So smooth and easy that it became something I remember fondly whenever I go to any hotel which has carpeted flooring.
There are basically no worries about forgetting to bring anything when you are staying at AMBA Taipei in Songshan as there are selection of thoughtful extras for you to borrow or rent which includes HDMI cable, Apple TV, curling iron, fitness ball, yoga mat, board games and even baby amenities!
The next time if you are going for a holiday in Taipei, don’t forget to check out AMBA Taipei @ Songshan. Not only it is away from the hustle and bustle, it is easily accessible to other parts of Taiwan, and the facilities there are just too thoughtful to be true. I will definitely recommend it to all of my friends and loved ones.
