As many might know, I love to do facials and they are part of my beauty regime. Not long ago, before my bangkok trip, I have been invited to Castelle de beaute at Jurong East to try out their customised facial. Haha, I know what you are thinking, very far for those who stay in the east, but it is located at a super convenient location for the westsiders.
Nestled along a row of shops behind J Cube (approximately 3 minutes walk from Jurong East MRT Station), it might look like any other neighbourhood beauty salon from the outside.
But once you go up to level 2 of the shop, you will be greeted with a cosy deco.
There are also lockers to put my belongings before I was led to a treatment room.
Tadaa~ here is where I enjoyed my facial for the next 1.5hr.
As my skin is generally dry with T-zone oily, I was advised to do a Ultrasonic Pore- Refining skin treatment ($228). In short a hydrating and firming facial targeted to minimise fine lines and ugly looking pores.
After double cleansing and exfoliating, a softener was applied to my face to prep it for the next step, steaming and extracting!
These are my BLACKHEADS after the extraction. Oh my god, so much can! While you might be wondering if the extraction is super painful, I can share with you, it is not. The extraction was done with gentle pressure on the nose. At some points, it felt like ant’s bite. But overall, it is bearable (at least for me) and I was so happy to be free of “strawberry” nose. hahaha
After extraction, a collagen ampoule was applied over my face and with the usage of a supersonic machine to help better penetrate the product into the skin. Hence a smoother, firmer and more hydrated skin is obtained.
This is probably the best part of the facial, massage! Using different massage hand techniques, the massage not only help to make me feel more relaxed, it also helped to improve blood circulation on my face. Yes yes, better blood circulation means a lot to our skin. Not only does it help for better penetration of the products used, it improves our skin tone and also help our skin to detox. In the long run, it aids in collagen production and make us look younger. Haha, now you know why I love facial, right?
After the massage, a hydrating mask was applied on my face and neck for 20 minutes. This is also the time where I fell asleep with soothing music in the background.
Overall, I like the customised facial treatment at Castelle de Beauté as after my facial, my skin was more bright and radiant. So much so that when I was in Bangkok, I did not put on any makeup and was still looking great.

It consists of 90-min facial with eye and neck treatment and a 60-min full body massage of your choice.
