Train to Busan, a Korean zombie apocalypse movie, is definitely not a movie that most people would forget as it featured Gong Yoo as the workaholic father who boarded the train to Busan with his daughter to visit his ex-wife as per requested by the daughter. However, the zombie virus was soon spread throughout the train. Have you ever wonder what if we were one of the Koreans that were somehow got caught up in a zombie apocalypse? The world’s first Train To Busan Horror House launched by Resorts World Genting and Air Asia is one such unique experience for one to challenge your fear!
Developed by Resorts World Genting and virtual reality specialists Vividthree, Train To Busan Horror House spare no details of blending cutting-edge visual, intricate sets, as well as and virtual technology. I kid you not, it is as real as it can be, just like the movie.
Train To Busan Horror House experience consists of several areas. Once you enter the place which is located at Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park, next to The VOID, you will be transported into the Korean street whereby there are about 8 stalls selling Korean food and drinks such as the kimchi, Bibimbap, Cheesy Hotdog as well as Korean snacks. This is the most relaxing area as you have yet to enter the highlight of the Horror House.
As you walked further, you will enter the ticketed zone where the real fun begins. You will be greeted the gigantic train station as you walked in. There are 2 horror zones as well as a VR experience whereby you will need to fight your way to survive among the zombie outbreak.
Before you entered the horror zones, you can also get to take some pictures with the zombies at the area outside.
Not only will you find yourselves chased by a ravenous zombie, you can also get your hands on the Virtual Reality to shoot some zombies. For survivors who managed to achieve more than 49,000, your name will be on the leaderboard.
While the 2 horror zones experience really freaked me out, I like it that there are “survivors” inside to urge us to run faster as if it is really a zombie apocalypse. Mind you, I am someone who avoid watching horror movies and going to haunted house in the theme park but I did have a frightfully good time!
The Train To Busan Horror House experience will be open from Friday to Sunday between 1 November to 1 December 2019, and daily from 2 December 2019 to 1 January 2020. The tickets are priced at RM90 for regular admission, RM80 if you are a Genting Rewards Club member and you can also get the Express Pass at RM30 on top of the admission ticket.
