Hey people, something exciting is coming to the Western side of Singapore! Many may have known Ippudo as an ramen outlet but for the first time, Ippudo is collaborating with Hattendo and will be serving cafe inspired dishes and coffee offerings!
Good news to those who love the popular matcha cream buns from Hattendo, you will be able to enjoy it at Ippudo’s latest outlet located at The Star Vista level 2 where Gan Yakitori was formerly situated. Besides the matcha cream buns, there are also plans in the pipeline for Ippudo and Hattendo to develop special flavours! Woohoo~~
Oh yes, for the first time, Ippudo is also serving COFFEE!! As it was in the evening when I came for this media tasting, I skipped coffee and went for the Sakura Tea ($5) which has an unique floral notes that I can’t stop sipping into it!
I am also quite excited to see one of my favourite starters, Beef Tataki, from Ippudo at this latest outlet! For those who love your beef slices with a tangy citrusy note, this is definitely a refreshing starter to have.
Some of the new offerings are the oven baked Lasagna Gyoza ($10) which IMHO is good on its own and the Spam Mustard Itame ($9) is great for anyone who love spam yet wanted to include some fiber into their diet. Broccoli is known for anti-aging ok, so always good to eat some of them. haahah
Ebi Mayo is another starter to have if you like some succulent prawns encased in golden shells with some sweet wasabi mayo sauce drizzled over.
One should never leave Ippudo without trying RAMEN, right? Exclusively available at Ippudo at Star Vista are the Tan Tan Men ($16; $19 with tamago) and the Maze Soba ($12; $15 with Tamago). Tan Tan Men is served with thin and straight noodle in a special blend of Japanese sesame paste together with Ippudo’s signature tonkotsu broth and topped with spicy minced pork miso and pork loin chashu.
The Maze Soba is a comfort bowl of dried ramen version with diced chashu, spring onions, bamboo shoots, seaweed, onsen tamago and fried noodles bits. Do remember to squeeze some fresh lemon juice for a zesty perk!
Apart from the new and exclusive dishes, Ippudo’s signature ramen dishes: Shiromaru and Akamaru will also be priced at a lower price from $13.80 (U.P: from $15) and $14.80 (U.P: from $16) and Kaedama, an extra serving of ramen will be available from $1 instead of $2 to thank Singapore consumers for the continuous support of the brand.
If you still have space for dessert, don’t forget to try the Matcha Creme Brulee ($5; $7 with coffee), a smooth creamy custard with a caramelised sugar top.
Ippudo at The Star Vista will be officially open to the public on 6 Nov 2017, Monday. To celebrate this joyous occasion, Ippudo will be offering 1 for 1 ramen on that day! The first 500 customers will also receive a complimentary Hattendo Cream Bun. All you need to do is to
like Ippudo’s Facebook page. It is 1 redemption per dine-in customer.
