In the month of September I was invited to the opening of 2 of my favourite cuisine, Japanese food and Thai Food. The first I went was a Japanese Takeaway bar located at Joo Chiat road while the other was the opening of Kaffir & Lime, the upmarket affiliated sister of Thai Express.
Uogashi which mean “The Fish Mart” in Japanese was set up by a group of army friends who wish to stay connected by operating a business together. Besides offering an array of sashimi and sushi, the takeaway bar also features salad, hotpot and bento set at a competitive prices. Consumers who like to cook can also get seafood ingredients here. Being a food blogger has its pros and cons. One of my woes is I often have food which I am not too impressed. But well, being said that, I guess Uogashi offers an alternative for the East siders for Japanese Takeaway.

FacebookAfter a major makeover, Kaffir & Lime has finally unveiled the unit segregated into 2 areas. While one area is designed to suit dining for families and friends, another side caters to couples and business meetings. The revamped space also feature a new menu while keeping the price easy on the pocket. Some of the signatures spotted are the Crispy Soft Shell Crab with Battered Morning Glory, Deep Fried Whole Seabass with Kaffir & Lime Trio Dip and Chiang Mai Chicken Wings.
