Sustainably sourced organic skincare, Melvita

If you are one person who is all about organic skincare range with sustainably sourced organic ingredients, trust me, you would want to know about Melvita. This french skincare brand which was established in 1983, was one of the first brands to be found in natural and organic stores in France and one of the first companies to obtain the organic Ecocert certification!!

Many of us are familiar with Argan oil as this golden liquid from Morocco is great to prevent hair breakage and tame frizzy hair. But do you know that Argan oil is more than just giving you bouncy and shiny mane? This light weight oil is also great to provide hydration to the skin, reduce stretch marks, soften the skin as well as to reduce skin inflammation, and increase healing process of the skin. All in all, Argan oil is an all-in-one head to toe beauty product! However, due to its beauty benefits, you might find that the ones in the market might be diluted with water or even blended with other oils.
What made Melvita Argan Oil so special is it is a 100% pure cold-pressed Argan Oil with Fair-trade (EFT) attested and great emphasis has been placed to make sure that the very bottle that we purchase is free from pollution. Yes, Melvita made sure that the harvesting does not affect the crop’s nature capacity to regenerate as well as no delivery of the oil during the hottest time of the summer to prevent any damage during the delivery. The oil is also stored at a constant temperature of 16 degree as well as tests are done if the storage is more than 6 months to ensure that the quality is maintained.
I have also tried Melvita Argan oil and I find lightweight and my skin absorb the oil just like a dry sponge. Best of all, it is non-greasy and as it is only 50ml, you can even bring it on board any flight! I think this is a great product to travel with as I only need 1 product to moisturise my body, to prevent cracked lip, soften my feet and hands, keep my nails strong and healthy, reduce signs of ageing on my face as well as to condition my hair.

Melvita Rose Floral Water (200ml, $48) is another of my favourite. Not only it is 100% natural and certified organic, it is great for any midday hydration boost. It is not just a toner, I also use it as a facial mist, to set my makeup as well as to sooth the skin after my dive trip. Unlike other facial mist, the water droplets are so fine that the active ingredients in Melvita Rose Floral Water can penetrate better into the skin within seconds after application. Hence, this is one of my inflight essential.

Besides Melvita Argan Oil and Rose Floral Water, another star product of Melvita is Rose Extraordinary Water (100ml, $44). Mind you, this is actually not a water. It is gel-like serum lotion that is packed with plant-based micro hyaluronic acid and rose floral water to keep the skin supple and plump. Yes, it is very lightweight. I also like that Melvita 100% recyclable plastic bottle and the rose scent which is derived from the natural rose essential oil smells absolutely lovely. 1 whiff and you will know that it is not anything synthetic.

Being women, while pursing beauty, we are exposed to an average of 515 synthetic chemicals on our body, from shampoo to cosmetics to body lotion as well as perfume. Hence, it is important for us to pick our skincare wisely to take care our overall well being. Melvita is one such brand that firmly believe in no genetically modified organisms (GMO), parabens, silicon, PEG, synthetic perfumes, dyes, phenoxyethanol and animal-derived ingredients (except honey, pollen and organic beeswax). On top of that, Melvita products also contain, on average, over 20% organically produced ingredients and priority is given to local, traceable suppliers. So do check out Melvita if you are looking into starting your skincare journey with something organic, clean and healthy.
