We have often heard about how collagen is good for our skin and collagen can be found in many food including hotpot. For the love of beauty, collagen hotpot has been very popular among the ladies. Understanding the demand, Japanese-themed restaurant, Momiji has launched Singapore’s first-ever collagen hotpot buffet!
The restaurant offers a smorgasbord of over 100 items including shabu shabu meats imported from Australia and Brazil, sushi, fish balls, bamboo meat paste and vegetables.
Now, accompanying the collagen pudding are three new soup bases: Tom Yum; Spicy Mala; and Herbal at a mere $5 per soup and per pot. The signature collagen pudding takes six hours to simmer. Kampong chicken and fresh vegetables are also added to give the soup more nutrition and flavours. The broth is then cooled and solidified into pudding.
Momiji has also recently introduced a Set Lunch for 2 Promotion (S$21.90). The set comes with a choice of beef and pork collar shabu shabu. Accompanying the meat is a platter of vegetables and mushrooms, a trio of specially handmade minced meat paste (kimchi meat paste, cuttlefish meat paste and minced pork meat paste). There are also four special sauces available to dip in with the ingredients: the slightly tangy Yuzu sauce; the sweet-sour Ponzu sauce; the rich and salty Miso sauce; and the nutty Black Sesame sauce.
For $21.90 per set, it is less than $11 each to enjoy this collagen goodness. Do check it out if you are around Balestier area!
