I am sure many people has already tried the Vietnamese noodles from this eatery at one of its branches. However for me, my closest experience was just looking that long snake of queue while I walked pass the outlet at wheelock place and reading about it online. Thus I was rather happy when I passed by it on one late weekday afternoon whereby there is no queue at the Suntec city outlet.

Nam Nam Noodle Bar is a part of les amis group and the outlet at Suntec City is actually their newly opened 3rd outlet.Locating at the Suntec city, it can be easily access via the MRT (City Hall MRT station) , circle line (Promenade MRT Station), bus or even by car as there are 3100 parking lots available.

Over here at NamNam, there is no GST and service charge payable. Thus order is made at the cashier but the good things are food is served to you and you are brought to your table once your enter the eatery.

Something that I really like about this place is there are more than 3 type of seatings. For bigger group, you are opt for the high rectangular table seating while smaller group can opt for the high round table seating. There are also square table seating at the side and also the bar counter seating whereby you can look into the open concept kitchen and see how your food is being prepared.

Hot Black Coffee ($2.50) was served in small metal cup with some floral design which reminded me of my ah ma’s cup is rather nostalgic. However the serving was quite small.

We ordered Banh Mi Grilled Chicken ($5.90) but we were served with Banh Mi Caramelised 5-spice Pork Belly with Pork Pate! Seriously I was disappointed by the blunder made. Obviously chicken and pork belly don’t look alike! Anyway this is how the pork belly Banh Mi looks like if you are curious.

Pho Beef Combination ($9.90) came shortly after the banh mi and we waited for less than 10 minutes. However for cutlery and such, it’s all self service so do make your way to the cultery counter to get them before the food is served.
The ingredients given was rather generous but the broth was more on the salty side and personally I find a lack in the authentic Vietnamese flavour.

Our grilled chicken banh mi arrived shortly after we asked for some order clarification from the service crew. Personally I like the taste and the idea of having chicken pate in the french loaf as it give the plain tasting bread a very flavorful finish.

I was rather disappointed with the Southern Roll ($4.90) as well. The translucent rice paper wrap was dry and on the hard side. On top of that, it was practically tasteless unless you eat it with the sauce given.

Overall I didn’t enjoyed the food here. However in term of the deco, i think great effort has been put in. On top of that, for people who wants to wok up some Vietnamese cuisine at home, there are some condiments and such sold here.
