So, what is Semaglutide?
Semaglutide is US FDA approved self-injection treatment pen for people with type 2 diabetes to control high blood sugar. But it can also be used for weight loss to curb appetite and make you feel full for a longer period of time. It is super easy, basically all you need to do is to administrate the injection on a weekly basis.
How is Semaglutide different from other slimming treatment?
Many doctors believe that Semaglutide has fewer side effects and is more effective as compared to other slimming medications. The drug is known as Wegovy in the US when used for weight loss and known as Ozempic when used for diabetes. However, they are actually the same and currently only Ozempic is available in Singapore.
How does Semaglutide work?
Semaglutide works like Glucagon-Like Peptide (GLP-1), a hormone that is produced by our intestines after eating to tell our brains that we are full. However, Semaglutide lasts for a week and it let us feel full for a long period of time. Which is why people who are under Ozempic (weekly injection) usually experience a weight loss as their appetite have become smaller. Also, there is a reduction of cravings. Hence, they will eat lesser than as compare to their usual portion.
How to use Ozempic Weight Loss Injection Pen?
Inject Ozempic once a week based on the dosage prescribed by the doctor in either your tummy, thighs, or upper arms aka somewhere with a bit of fats.
What are the side effects from Ozempic?
The most common side effect is nausea. Besides feeling nausea, other side effects include swelling or bruising at the injection site, tiredness, vomiting, or constipation may occur. But lucky for me, I didn’t experience any. However once in a while when I overeat, I will feel very uncomfortable. For those who experience nausea, usually it will go away after a month.
Does semaglutide cause low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)?
No, by itself usually does not cause low blood sugar unless it is taken with other diabetic medication.
How to maximize the effectiveness of Semaglutide (Ozempic)?
it is recommended to couple with your diet as well as physical activity levels together for best result.
Is there any alternative other than using Ozempic (Semaglutide) Weight Loss Injection Pen?

Do you regain the weight back after stopping the treatment?
It depends on your diet and lifestyle after the initial weight loss with Ozempic. Maintaining an active lifestyle and sticking to a healthy diet can help to prevent weight gain post-treatment. Should you put on weight again, you can always go back to your doctor for an assessment. Another point that I should bring up is that Ozempic treatment can be repeated. Do check with your doctor for more information.

People who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, should consult your doctor for best advice.
How do you store the medication?
Ozempic should be in the refrigerator but do not freeze it as it can no longer be used if you ever freeze it. After first use, store Ozempic (Semaglutide) in the refrigerator and discard after 8 weeks.
What if I miss a dose?
I kid you not, this legit happened to me. But the good news is as long as you take it within 5 days from the date of the missed dose, it is all good.
Is the injection pen painful?
To be honest, I have high endurance of pain so to me, the pain is almost non-existence. Perhaps for those who have lower pain endurance level, it will be slightly more painful. But if you can take filler, this is legit nothing as compare to it.
I kid you not, Ozempic Weight Loss Injection Pen’s needle is really fine and tiny! So, it may help for you to know the needle is only 4 mm and it is the shortest and thinnest needle available from Novo Nordisk. In short, it is as thin as 2 strands of human hairs!
How to administrate the injection?
Ozempic can be taken at any time of day but the injection should always be on the same day each week. After washing your hands, use an alcohol swab to wipe the area that the injection will be administrated. Put a new needle on the pen (a new needle should be used and discarded after usage). Pinch the area with one hand and hold the pen with another. Remember to turn the dose selector until you see your dose (either 0.25, 0.5, 1, or 2). Insert the needle into your skin, press down and hold the dose button until the dose counter shows 0. After the injection, count slowly to six before you remove the needle from your skin. There you go, easy breezy. All done within a minute or less.
How much is Ozempic treatment?
It is $450 per injection pen (each pen typically lasts 1 month) excluding doctor consultation fees.
Dr. Tan had a sustainable weight loss plan for me to reach my ideal weight so that I can lose weight healthily. To be honest, I am still far from the ideal weight that I hope to achieve. But I am happy that the weight loss is not immediate. Overall, I lost 5kg after being on Ozempic for 2 months. I would say that it is a good weight loss and all I did was to remember to administrate the treatment every month. My appetite has gone back to pre-covid which means I eat lesser and I also feel full for a longer period of time. For example, I will need to go for lunch at 12 but now I will not feel the hunger pangs even after 1pm. There are also lesser cravings. So now, all I need to do is to incorporate some exercise regime into my busy schedule as I really do not want to have too much flabbiness.
