The all new Teatime Happiness menu includes the choice of either a slice of Swensen’s Special Ice Cream Cake (trio of Neapolitan flavours, Chocolate, Strawberry and Vanilla) or the new Chips
‘n’ Slaw Sandwich that is packed with crunchy potato chips and fresh coleslaw. The new Chips ‘n’ Slaw Sandwich are served while we had our tea tasting session. Priced at a pocket-friendly S$6.90++, diners get to pick from a selection of Exception Dilmah Teas (Ceylon Green Tea, Pure Peppermint Leaves, Pure Chamomile Flowers, Elegant Earl Grey, Berry Sensation and English Breakfast) or a cup of freshly brewed coffee to pair with the high tea set.
To make things more interesting for the media tasting, we were given the chance to hands on to brew our own tea. The thumb of rule for tea brewing is Black Tea/ Oolong Tea takes about 3-5 mins with water temperature of 90 degree to 100 degree Celsius while White Tea/ Green Tea/ Infusions takes 2-3 mins with water temperature of 70 degree to 80 degree Celsius. Do also note that milk should only be added to black teas and try to use honey instead to sweeten the teas naturally.
Diners who are feeling a bit healthy and wanted some greens, can also add on a bowl of Fresh Salad from the Salad Buffet Bar by topping up $3++.
