Who likes having supper here? Imagine a delicious bowl of Bib-gourmand wonton mee from A Noodle Story with delicious sides fired from the Inka oven. This is definitely my kind of supper. But wait, the Bib-gourmand wonton mee is open till so late? Haha.. Definitely not if it is any other day but on 4 Nov 2016, Friday, Moosehead is collaborating with A Noodle Story, to launch the first of its Supper Series for an one-night only event from 10pm till late. Woohoo~~ good news right?
For those who love wanton, be thrilled to find them prepared in 3 different styles! Drawing inspiration from Moosehead’s signature bacon wrapped dates, smokey char-grilled wontons wrapped in bacon ($8) is born! What a brilliant idea! Loving the contrast in textures! There are also deep fried shrimp wontons ($5) served with Moosehead’s garlic miso dip and poached wontons in Moosehead’s mushroomdashi ($5). Absolutely love that clear comforting broth!
Onsen egg ($3) is definitely a must order for any egg lovers. Who doesnt love flowy egg, right?
Besides Inka-roasted char siew ($10 per 100g), there are char-grilled brocollini ($8) and duck hearts ($9) which I simply adored! Although the idea of having duck innard is not very sexy, for those adventurous ones, you will rewarded with a lovely chewy texture married with a hint of smokiness.
While there is no table reservation available, the idea of trying out A Noodle Story’s new noodle recipe (Kelp,
micro ebi, scallion and chilli pepper strands on top of that thin, springy yellow noodles) with that sexy slab of Inka-roasted Spanish pork char siew, contemporary wontons and char-grilled brocollini seems too good to be missed. This is only the first of Moosehead Supper Series and I am already looking forward to the next. So remember to hop by if you are looking for a totally different supper experience on a friday night!
