New Items @ Kam’s Roast

Kam’s three marinated dishes: mushrooms, Tofu and eggs are in for a long run. Not sure if the Kam’s 70 year family heirloom recipe did the trick, but the braised was unusually light yet flavourful. Sounds like an oxymoronic phrase, except it is not. I thoroughly enjoyed the mushrooms, Tofu and eggs which were all delicately braised though I might have to leave the assessment of the duck to my dining companion.

The companion did not say anything…
Except licking clean the plate and showing me in its clean slate, free of any morsels.
The Marinated Duck (1/4 Upper $20, 1/4 Lower $23, 1/2 $38 Whole $65) was his favourite. Compared to the similar Marinated Duck’s Wings ($8.80), there were less bones and more meat which makes it more compatible with hot rice. The individual pieces of meat were full of flavours from sweet braise sauce which made them extremely inviting with some Thai Jasmine. And maybe some spice.

Diners who are more carnivorous can also try the Duck’s Webs ($8.80), Duck’s Gizzard ($8.80) or Pork Knuckles ($8.90).

The new comforting Four Treasure Rice ($11.80+) by Kam’s Roast had three signatures plus one dishes assembled into one; Roast Duck, Soya Chicken, BBQ Pork Char Siu and salted egg. Extremely valued for money however, they were only available for take-outs.

What’s good about Kam’s has all been said. So I will save the unnecessary. After a hectic work day you might just want to head straight home and devour this Bento at the comfort of your couch.
