Foodies, good news for you! Time to travel to Argentina without flying out of Singapore! Supported by INPROTUR (Argentina’s National Institute of Tourism Promotion), Bochinche is bringing COMILONA, a Nomad Argentine festival, Tuesday, 25 October, to Friday, 28 October 2016! I attended the COMILONA’s welcome party last night. Stay with me for a  sneak peak on what you might be expecting for the next 3 nights of exclusive dinner collaborations with 8 talented chefs (Diego Jacquet, Soledad Nardelli, Martin Baquero, Hernan Luchetti, Federico Heinzmann, Martin Molteni, Pablo del Rio, Fernando Navas) and top Argentinean sommelier (Agustina de Alba)!

At the party, there was a spread of Argentinean spices and amongst them, I was most intrigued with Yacaratia, an edible wood that is only available in Argentina. This ingredient is very versatile and according to Chef Diego, it can be used in both savory dishes and desserts!

I love the open kitchen concept (don’t worry, they have good exhaust system. I still smell good at the end of the night) at boCHINche. This enables me to watch the team of Argentinean experts who specially flew in from across the world just to make Comilona happen!

On a rotating basis, we were served with a variety of Argentinean dishes in Tapas sizes. The Soft farmer egg, bone marrow & migas was one of the hot favourites of the night. Snapped out as fast as it was out of the kitchen! So good that I had 3 wonderful servings!

So don’t miss the series of exclusive dinner collaborations at boCHINche that will be running from today to Friday! The invited guest chefs will be whipping up a selection of 5-course dinner and wine pairing menus using ten original Argentine products such as Argentine beef, Aji Molido, Cedron and Cumin! The menu will also change from evening to evening!
